Deal Facilitated by Viking Mergers & Acquisitions

TAMPA, Fla., Oct. 14, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Force Protect Security Consultants, a leading physical security consulting firm founded by retired Army Lt. Col. Frank Finley II, has been acquired by Eric Smith, a U.S. Army veteran and experienced business strategist.

As fellow service-disabled veterans, the buyer and seller share a commitment to supporting the veteran community.

"This transaction was especially meaningful, as buyer and seller are brothers-in-arms with a shared passion for taking care of Veterans," said Max Roix of Viking M&A, who facilitated the deal alongside Larry "Tripp" Lawson III. "We are excited to see the company continue to grow under Eric's leadership."

Operating for more than a decade, Force Protect Security Consultants has served clients in all 50 states and internationally. The firm provides comprehensive security consulting services for government and commercial projects, with its team of certified professionals delivering effective security and risk mitigation strategies.

Finley, who served 32 years in the U.S. Army, is recognized as a subject matter expert in physical security risk management, and his background spans both public and private sectors.

Smith, a Harvard and Stanford Law graduate with executive experience at McKinsey, Boston Consulting Group, and a major Detroit real estate firm, brings a unique blend of military and business leadership.

"The team at Viking M&A delivered well beyond what they promised," said Finley about the transaction process. "I had six full asking price offers within just 2-3 weeks of going to market. Their consultation along the way was top-notch, dependable, and accurate."

The transaction closed at 100% of the asking price in under six months, with more than 230 prospective buyers vetted before closing.
