05:08 AM EDT, 09/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Ford Motor ( F ) is recalling 115,539 vehicles in the US over potential issues with steering control, increasing the risk of a crash, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Tuesday.
The company said the affected vehicles' "steering column upper shaft may detach from the steering column" and lead to loss of steering control. The recall covers certain 2020 to 2021 models of Ford's F-250, F-350, and F-450 vehicles, according to the statement.
Ford said dealers will inspect and repair or replace the recalled vehicles' upper shaft as necessary, free of charge.
