Ford Motor Recalling up to 144,000 Ford Maverick Vehicles Over Rearview Camera Image Freeze
Sep 22, 2024 9:23 PM

07:33 AM EDT, 09/20/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Ford Motor ( F ) is recalling 2022-2024 Ford Maverick vehicles equipped with connected touch radios, the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said in a Thursday notification.

The recall may potentially affect 144,516 vehicles.

The NHTSA said the recall is due to the possibility of rearview camera image freezing when the vehicle is in reverse, which can reduce the driver's rear visibility and increase the risk of a crash.

Ford dealers will update the connected touch radios software at no additional cost.
