08:07 AM EDT, 10/31/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Ford Motor ( F ) is recalling up to 79,781 vehicles in the US due to potential issues with door panels and lightbars, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Thursday.
The largest recall involves up to 64,938 units of 2017-2019 Ford Flex vehicles due to the potential detachment of driver and front passenger B-pillar door trims while driving, which could create a road hazard and increase the risk of a crash, according to the notice.
A second recall affects up to 14,843 units of 2022-2023 F-150 Lightning BEV vehicles due to microcracks in the rear lightbar lens that can allow moisture to enter, leading to inoperative or flickering reverse lights, according to a separate notice from the regulator.
Ford is also recalling certain 10R80 re-manufactured automatic transmissions used as service repair parts for 2017-2021 Ford and Lincoln vehicles due to the potential loss of park function, which could cause unintended vehicle rollaway, according to the NHTSA.
Earlier this week Ford recalled around 400,000 vehicles for issues such as inadequately attached moonroof wind deflectors, windshield glass air bubbles, and loose seat frames, according to prior NHTSA notifications.
