07:58 AM EDT, 08/01/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Ford Motor ( F ) is recalling up to 312,120 vehicles in the US over a potential malfunction of the electronic brake booster module that may occur while driving or using the advanced driver assistance system, according to a Thursday notification published by the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Covered by the recall are certain 2025 Lincoln Navigator, F-150, Expedition, Bronco, and Ranger vehicles, the document showed.
The issue could lead to an unexpected loss of power brake assist, which can extend stopping distance while driving and increase the risk of a crash, the regulator said. A loss of power brake assist while ADAS features are engaged could cause the vehicle not to brake as expected, increasing a crash risk, it added.
The electronic brake booster software will be updated free of charge over-the-air or by a dealer, according to the document.
