04:21 AM EST, 01/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Ford Motor ( F ) is recalling 119,075 vehicles in the US amid concerns that the engine block heater may crack and could leak coolant, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Wednesday.

The recall affects certain Ford Focus, Escape, Explorer, and Lincoln MKC models, the regulator said, adding that the issue can cause a short circuit and increase the risk of fire when plugged in.

Owners are advised not to use the block heater until repairs are completed, the NHTSA said, adding that dealers will replace the heater at no cost.
