10:09 AM EDT, 10/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Ford Motor ( F ) on Wednesday reported a 0.7% increase in US Q3 sales compared with year-ago levels, selling 504,039 vehicles during the three months ended Sept. 30.
The automaker saw increases for both electric and hybrid vehicles, rising 12.2% and 38% year-over-year, respectively. Those cars and trucks, however, comprised only 14.2% of Ford's Q3 sales, with the company selling 432,429 internal combustion-powered vehicles during the quarter, down 2.8% from the same period in 2023.
Year-to-date, US sales at Ford are up 2.7%, with nearly 1.55 million units sold since Jan. 1.
Ford shares were down 2.4% in recent trading.
