BEIJING, Sept 11 (Reuters) - A former general manager at

China's state-owned oil and gas firm CNOOC, Li Yong,

has been expelled from the Chinese Communist Party due to

serious violation of law and discipline, state media Xinhua

reported on Wednesday.
