TOKYO, Dec 23 (Reuters) - Former Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn

cast doubt on whether the potential merger between Honda ( HMC ) and

Nissan ( NSANF ) will be successful, saying the plans Nissan ( NSANF ) have "do not

make sense" in a press conference on Monday.

Honda ( HMC ) and Nissan ( NSANF ) announced on Monday the

start of business integration talks, two people familiar with

the matter told Reuters, as the carmakers strive to survive a

rapidly changing industry landscape.
