08:25 AM EDT, 04/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Forsys Metals ( FOSYF ) on Wednesday said it is advancing ore-sorting test work at its Norasa uranium project in Namibia.
The company said it is testing two methods of sorting ore from the project -- X-Ray Transmission (XRT) and X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) -- and expects to select one by the end of June. Forsys said both methods have shown positive results in testing as it looks to reduce the flow of waste ores to its processing plant, improving efficiency, boosting recoveries and lowering costs.
The company's shares, which have dropped by almost a quarter in three days of falling markets after the U.S. imposed blanket tariffs on its trading partners, closed down $0.09 to $0.53 Monday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
