Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $0.41.

Revenue in the quarter ended June 30 rose to $1.43 billion from $1.29 billion a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $1.40 billion.

The company expects Q3 non-GAAP EPS of $0.56 to $0.58 on revenue of $1.45 billion to $1.51 billion. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect EPS of $0.43 on revenue of $1.47 billion.

Fortinet ( FTNT ) boosted full-year non-GAAP EPS guidance to $2.13 to $2.19 on revenue of $5.8 billion to $5.9 billion from EPS of $1.73 to $1.79 on revenue of 5.75 billion to $5.85 billion. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect EPS of $1.76 on revenue of $5.79 billion.

Shares of the company rose 13% in after-hours activity.
