Fortrea Holdings Swings to Q2 Adjusted Loss; Revenue Falls; Shares Drop 7% Pre-Bell

07:42 AM EDT, 08/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Fortrea Holdings ( FTRE ) reported a Q2 adjusted loss Monday of $0.03 per diluted share, swinging from earnings of $0.52 a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected earnings of $0.06 per share.

Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was $662.4 million, compared with $725.1 million a year earlier. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $688.4 million.

The company lowered its full-year 2024 revenue guidance to a range of $2.70 billion to $2.75 billion from previous guidance of $2.79 billion to $2.86 billion. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect $2.80 billion.

Shares of Fortrea Holdings ( FTRE ) were down 7% in recent premarket activity.
