06:50 AM EST, 12/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Fortuna Mining ( FSM ) on Monday said it has extended the Kingfisher deposit at the Seguela mine in Cote d'Ivoire through recent intersections.

Highlights of the results include 4.1 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 15.3 meters and 3.3 g/t gold over 17 meters.

The intersections were about 150 meters further along strike of the maiden inferred resource of 294,000 ounces averaging 2.3 g/t gold.

At the Sunbird deposit, drilling returned high grades including 20.4 g/t gold over 19.6 meters.

Fortuna's share price at last look gained 1.3% to US$4.77 in U.S. pre-market trading on Monday.
