06:42 AM EDT, 07/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Fortuna Silver Mines (FVI.TO, FSM) on Tuesday reported second-quarter production of 116,570 gold equivalent ounces, a 25% increase from the year-ago quarter.
Gold production rose 44% to 92,716 ounces while silver production fell 22% to 990,574 ounces.
Zinc production decreased by 7% to 13 million pounds and lead production increased by 3% to 10.5 million pounds.
The company reiterated its 2024 annual production guidance range of 343,000-385,000 ounces of gold and 4-4.7 million ounces of silver, or between 457,000-497,000 gold equivalent ounces.
Fortuna, which has five operating mines in West Africa and Latin America, at last look lost 1.6% to US$4.95 per share in U.S. pre-market trading on Tuesday.
