Fortuna's Yaramoko Mine Hits One-Million-Ounce Gold Pour

07:00 AM EDT, 05/22/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Fortuna Silver Mines ( FSM ) on Wednesday said the Yaramoko mine in Burkina Faso has poured one million ounces of gold, hitting the milestone on Sunday.

Yaramoko started production on May 16, 2016 and Fortuna acquired the mine in 2021.

As of Dec. 31, 2023, Yaramoko has a remaining mine life of two years with proven and probable mineral reserves of 0.9 million tonnes at a grade of 7.90 grams per tonne of gold and containing 219,000 ounces of gold.

The mine has an exploration budget for 2024 of US$6.1 million, which includes 41,450 meters of drilling.

Fortuna at last look lost 0.5% to US$5.83 per share in US pre-market trading on Wednesday.
