05:23 PM EDT, 03/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Franklin BSP Realty Trust ( FBRT ) said late Monday it has agreed to buy NewPoint Holdings JV, a private commercial real estate finance company.

Financial details weren't disclosed.

The deal is expected to close in Q3, pending customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.

The company said it will fund the acquisition using a mix of existing cash, debt, and equity issuance and will manage the acquired business through a taxable real estate investment trust subsidiary.

The deal is expected to be accretive to GAAP earnings per share in H1 of 2026 and fully converted distributable earnings per share in H2 of the same year, the company said.
