07:21 AM EDT, 05/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Freegold Ventures ( FGOVF ) said Thursday that it has kicked off its 2025 drilling campaign at the Golden Summit project in Alaska with three drill rigs operating.

A fourth rig will begin working in early summer, the company said, adding that the drilling program aims to upgrade inferred mineral resources to the indicated category through targeted infill drilling, along with geotechnical drilling and additional metallurgical test holes.

Freehold expects to complete an updated resource estimate in the second quarter.

Freegold's ( FGOVF ) share price closed 2% higher on Wednesday to $1.04 on the TSX.
