04:23 PM EDT, 07/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Freehold Royalties ( FRHLF ) after trade Wednesday said its second-quarter profit and revenue declined year-over-year.
The oil and gas royalty company earned $6.2 million, or $0.04 per share, in the period, down from $39.3 million, or $0.26, in the year-prior quarter. FactSet expected $0.15 per share.
Royalty and other revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was $78.3 million, down from $84.5 million a year prior.
The company's funds from operations stood at $56.6 million, or $0.35 per share, compared with $59.6 million, or $0.40, in the year-ago quarter.
Freehold Royalties ( FRHLF ) reported total crude oil and natural gas liquids royalty production of 11,047 barrels per day, a 4% increase from the previous quarter. Total production reached 16,584 barrels of oil equivalent per day, a 2% increase quarter-over-quarter.
During the quarter, 271 gross wells were drilled across the company's land base, with 45 wells in Canada and 226 in the United States, the company added.
Freehold shares closed up $0.05 to $13.63 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
