JAKARTA, Feb 18 (Reuters) - Freeport Indonesia has
requested the government allow it to export 1.3 million metric
tons of copper concentrate, its chief executive Tony Wenas said
on Tuesday, adding the firm's mining operation was running at
40% capacity now.
Freeport had to stop exporting copper concentrate after its
export permit expired at the end of 2024. Its new smelter is
being repaired after a fire.
