Sept 9 (Reuters) - Freeport-McMoRan ( FCX ) said on
Tuesday that mining in Indonesia's Grasberg minerals district
has been temporarily suspended following a large flow of wet
material from a production drawpoint in the Grasberg Block Cave
mine on September 8.
"The incident blocked access to certain areas within the
mine, restricting evacuation routes for seven team members," the
company said, adding that the workers' location is known and
they are believed to be safe.
