05:01 AM EDT, 09/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Freeport-McMoRan ( FCX ) said Tuesday its Grasberg Block Cave underground mine in Indonesia was impacted by a large flow of wet material from a production drawpoint on Monday.

The incident hampered access to areas within the mine, blocking evacuation routes for seven employees, the company said.

The workers are believed to be safe as crews work to clear the area ahead of an evacuation, the company said.
