11:09 AM EDT, 10/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Freeport-McMoRan ( FCX ) will hold a conference call with analysts and investors in November to report on the investigation into the Sept. 8 mud rush incident at the Grasberg Block Cave in Indonesia, delaying the call beyond its typical Q3 earnings schedule.
The delay "will allow time to progress the investigation, damage assessments and incorporate results in future operating plans," the company said Friday in a statement.
The date for the call will be announced as the investigation nears completion, the company said.
There has been no update to the Sept. 24 preliminary assessment of the potential production impact, and "further information will be provided as the investigation progresses, and damage assessments are completed," the company said.
Freeport-McMoRan ( FCX ) still plans to release Q3 earnings on Oct. 23 before the market opens, in line with its usual schedule.
