08:20 AM EDT, 05/22/2024 (MT Newswires) -- FREYR Battery (FREY) said Wednesday it has completed its first production trial of unit cells utilizing Casting and Unit Cell Assembly at the Customer Qualification Plant.

The CQP team will start producing multi-layer battery samples in Q2, and continue working on improving the electrochemical and electromechanical capabilities of the technology platform, FREYR said.

Shares of the company were up nearly 6% in recent Wednesday premarket activity.
