10:51 AM EST, 11/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Frontier Communications Parent ( FYBR ) said Wednesday its shareholders have approved Verizon Communications' ( VZ ) acquisition of the company in a deal valued at $20 billion.

The acquisition is expected to be completed in Q1 2026, subject to regulatory approvals, the company said.

Frontier shares were up about 2.3%, while Verizon rose 2.4% in recent trading.
