01:12 PM EDT, 04/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Frontier Group Holdings' ( ULCC ) Frontier Airlines was notified Wednesday by unionized flight attendants of a dispute under the Railway Labor Act over the planned overhaul of the airline's business model, the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA said.

The union, which represents Frontier flight attendants, said a dispute requires the airline's management to negotiate over the planned overhaul of the business model, the impact of which isn't "properly" addressed by the current collective bargaining agreement.

The union said the plan to shift operational scheduling to more than 90% one-day turns "would drastically impact the compensation, out-of-pocket costs, and time at work without additional pay."

The company didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.

Frontier Group ( ULCC ) shares were down 3.5% in recent trading.
