Fury Gold Mines Announces 2025 Exploration Plans at Committee Bay Project, Nunavut
Jun 3, 2025 4:51 AM

07:38 AM EDT, 06/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Fury Gold Mines ( FURY ) on Tuesday said its exploration program at the Committee Bay project in Nunavut, which begins next month, will consist of seven to 10 diamond drill holes totaling 5,000 metres.

Drilling will focus on expanding the Three Bluffs shear zone target where a drill hole intercepted three zones of high-grade gold mineralization over a 30 m drill width; testing regional shear zones along the southern contact of the 8-kilometre long Raven shear zone where samples of up to 32.90 g/t gold have been returned from an undrilled outcrop, and testing regional shear zones at Burro West where a 300 by 300 m gold in till anomaly was identified in 2024.

"Recent targeting and exploration at Committee Bay has brought to light the potential for regional-scale shear zones to host significant gold mineralization," said Bryan Atkinson, senior vice president, exploration. "Previous exploration campaigns have been largely focused on silicified and sulphidized iron formations with success. The new focus on shear zone hosted gold mineralization is simply the next evolutionary step in targeting at Committee Bay and has reinvigorated the prospectivity of the entire 300 km long belt."

Last week, Agnico Eagle (AEM.TO) acquired an additional 6.73 million units of Fury Gold at $0.64 apiece in a non-brokered private placement for $4.3 million.
