10:24 AM EDT, 06/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Fury Gold Mines ( FURY ) said on Thursday that it closed its previously announced $5 million private placement.

The company will use the proceeds to incur eligible "Canadian exploration expenses" at its Eau Claire and Eleonore South projects.

Under the offering, Fury issued about 5.3 million shares priced at $0.94 apiece.

The company's share price rose 5.5% at last look to $0.59.
