Future Group Vs Amazon: Future Group sets aside Rs 1,500 crore as contingency liability

The Future Group is gearing up for a legal faceoff with Amazon. Sources in Future Group tell CNBC-TV18 that the company has provisioned close to Rs 1,500 crore as a contingency liability.

This money, will be used to pay for damages awarded to Amazon, if any at the end of the arbitration. Sources in the Future Group also say that this amount is only a buffer and that they will proceed with the deal.
