Future Retail challenges Delhi HC ‘status quo’ order on RIL deal; matter to be heard on Feb 4

Future Retail has moved Delhi High Court in appeal against the court’s order directing status quo on the Rs 25,000 crore deal with Reliance. The Division Bench the Delhi High Court has agreed to allow an urgent hearing tomorrow, on February 4.

Citing urgency, Future Retail argued that if the deal did not go through, there would be a risk on insolvency for the company. The company also pointed out the regulatory approvals for the deal.
