10:04 AM EDT, 10/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- FutureFuel ( FF ) said Wednesday it has begun specialty chemical production and expects to restart biodiesel production in Q4.

Chemical production volume is expected to increase during Q4 and the business will begin contributing to sales from Q1 2026, the company said.

The company said it paused biodiesel production in June due to a "lack of clarity in the regulatory environment" and high input costs. The company has since gained clarity around government support for biodiesel producers and seen a slight improvement in the input market, according to a statement.

FutureFuel ( FF ) also said it is closing its remote headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri, and will consolidate corporate activities and key employees at its plant in Batesville, Arkansas.

The company's shares were up about 8% in recent trading Wednesday.
