FutureFuel Says Biodiesel Plant Turnaround to Continue Through February
Jan 31, 2025 2:01 PM

04:37 PM EST, 01/31/2025 (MT Newswires) -- FutureFuel ( FF ) reported annual maintenance at its Batesville, Arkansas, biodiesel plant "has proven more extensive than expected" and the turnaround will continue through February.

Biodiesel production won't start until the turnaround is completed, the company said Friday in a statement.

Meanwhile, "government agencies have not yet published sufficient details" on a producer's tax credit effective at the start of this year, and "this creates a level of uncertainty for the biodiesel industry which has caused other biodiesel producers and their capacity to go offline," the company said.

FutureFuel ( FF ) said it will be "closely monitoring this as it considers its approach to biodiesel production and its role in the biofuels market."
