07:33 AM EDT, 03/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- G2 Goldfields ( GUYGF ) on Tuesday reported a significant gold discovery several miles north of the company's existing gold resource at the OKO project in Guyana.
Assays include 24 meters grading 2 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, including 9.3 meters grading 2.8 g/t gold.
The company noted that the new gold discovery lies within properties in the portfolio of its proposed spinoff company G3 Goldfields.
"This is a brand-new discovery from 'first principles' and we look forward to additional exploration success from our team, partners, and portfolio of properties," said Patrick Sheridan, G2's executive chairman.
G2's share price rose 4.8% on Monday to $3.30 on the TSX.
