Mar 11, 2026 3:33 AM

06:03 AM EDT, 03/11/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The Group of Seven, or G7, energy ministers said they are ready to take necessary measures to address the ongoing oil market volatility amid rising tension in the Middle East, according to reports published Wednesday.

The ministers were convened Tuesday for a virtual meeting with the International Energy Agency, the news outlets said.

According to The Guardian, the G7 ministers said they support, in principle, "proactive measures" like using strategic reserves, and will consider other recommendations.
