Garmin Says Autoland, Autothrottle Systems Granted Certification by US FAA for Select Beechcraft King Air Aircraft
Aug 27, 2025 5:15 AM

07:47 AM EDT, 08/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Garmin ( GRMN ) said Wednesday that its Autoland and Autothrottle systems have been granted certification by the US Federal Aviation Administration for select G1000 NXi-equipped King Air 350 aircraft.

The Autothrottle system reduces workload in the cockpit by managing aircraft speed and power, while the Autoland system can control and land the aircraft without human intervention in emergencies, the Swiss navigation device maker said.

The two systems are available for retrofit on select King Air 300 and 350 series aircraft equipped with G1000 NXi, Garmin ( GRMN ) said.
