04:52 PM EDT, 09/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- GATX ( GATX ) said late Tuesday the waiting period in connection with its pending acquisition of Wells Fargo's ( WFC ) rail operating lease portfolio via a joint venture with Brookfield (BN) unit Brookfield Infrastructure has expired.

The transaction, which received clearance from the European Commission in August, remains subject to closing conditions, the company said.

GATX ( GATX ) said it expects the deal to close in Q1 2026 or sooner.
