GCT Semiconductor, Kyocera Collaborate Over 5G Reference Platform Development

10:00 AM EDT, 07/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- GCT Semiconductor ( GCTS ) and electronic components company Kyocera said Wednesday they have partnered for the development of a 5G reference platform for customer premise equipment and fixed wireless access devices.

The platform, which is expected to be available in Q1 2025, will support GCT's development of 5G mmWave CPE devices for its 5G customers along with the development of Kyocera's products, the companies said.

Kyocera will offer financial support for the platform's development, they added.
