11:51 AM EST, 11/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- GE Aerospace (GE) said Wednesday it is collaborating with Microsoft ( MSFT ) and Accenture ( ACN ) to develop aviation solutions that are powered by generative artificial intelligence, with the first solution focused on accessing maintenance records.
The company said the collaboration's first solution is designed to allow airlines and lessors to access maintenance asset records "in minutes," cutting the process of going through physical documents and data sets. GE Aerospace said Carlyle Aviation Partners has tested the solution in a private preview.
The solution provides real-time status updates on aircraft, including leasing details and gaps in critical documents. For lessors, it assesses the technical status of leased aircraft to help protect asset value and flag any compliance issues, according to the company.
No other details on the collaboration were disclosed.
Shares of GE Aerospace were up 1.3% in recent trading.
