GE HealthCare Technologies Receives FDA Marketing Clearance for Portrait VSM Monitor

10:00 AM EDT, 04/29/2024 (MT Newswires) -- GE HealthCare Technologies ( GEHC ) said Monday that it has received 510(k) clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration for its Portrait VSM vital signs monitor.

The device uses a non-invasive blood pressure algorithm to provide measurement readings for blood pressure, pulse rate, oxygen saturation, body temperature and respiratory rate.

A 510(k) is intended to demonstrate to the FDA that a device to be marketed is as safe and effective as an already legally marketed device.
