09:14 AM EDT, 03/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- GE Vernova ( GEV ) has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Japan's Hitachi to identify commercial opportunities to deploy the BWRX-300 small modular reactor in Southeast Asia, the companies said Saturday.

The two companies also plan to explore how to strengthen the supply chain for small modular reactors in the region and engage with qualified Japanese suppliers, according to a statement.
