Genco Shipping & Trading Sets New Threshhold to Trigger Shareholder Rights Plan
Nov 11, 2025 1:08 AM

03:48 AM EST, 11/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Genco Shipping & Trading ( GNK ) said that it has adopted an amendment setting its threshold for triggering its shareholder rights plan to prevent a takeover of the company to 10%.

The amendment was deemed necessary because of "the rapid accumulation of the company's common stock by a competitor and the possibility that the competitor could seek to transfer its position in whole or in part," the company said.
