02:08 PM EDT, 07/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Generac ( GNRC ) said Wednesday it got a grant of up to $200 million from the US Department of Energy for a five-year term as part of the $1 billion Puerto Rico Energy Resilience Fund.

As part of a solar access program, Generac ( GNRC ) said it will help install solar and battery storage systems in low-income Puerto Rican households starting in August.

The company's shares fell 0.3% in recent trading.
