General Dynamics profit rises 9.5% on sustained defense demand

April 24 (Reuters) - General Dynamics ( GD ) reported a

rise in first-quarter profit on Wednesday on sustained demand

for its military equipment amid rising geopolitical tensions.

The U.S. defense contractor reported a quarterly profit of

$799 million, up 9.5% from a year ago.
