General Dynamics quarterly profit rises on steady defense demand

Jan 29 (Reuters) - General Dynamics ( GD ) reported a

14.2% rise in fourth-quarter profit on Wednesday, as sustained

demand for military munitions and vehicles boosted its defense

businesses.

The Virginia-based company reported a quarterly profit of

$1.15 billion, or $4.15 per share, up from $1.01 billion, or

$3.64 per share, a year ago.
