10:37 AM EDT, 06/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- General Mills ( GIS ) said Monday it closed the sale of its US-based yogurt business to Lactalis.

The sale involves US operations of yogurt brands like Yoplait, Go-Gurt, Oui, Mountain High, and :ratio. The divestment also includes manufacturing facilities in Tennessee and Michigan, according to a statement.

The company said it plans to use the net proceeds for share repurchases and debt repayments.

Shares were up 2.2% in recent trading.
