06:13 AM EDT, 03/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- General Motors ( GM ) plans to invest $600 million in its South Korean operations, news outlets reported Wednesday, citing a company statement.
The planned spending, which reflects a $300 million increase from the investment pledge announced in December, will be used to upgrade production facilities and strengthen the US automaker's South Korean subsidiary, according to reports.
GM didn't immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for a copy of the statement.
The company's shares were up 2.4% in premarket activity.
