03:16 PM EDT, 05/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- General Motors ( GM ) will stop producing the Chevrolet Malibu at its Fairfax Assembly plant in Kansas from November as it focuses on the production of electric vehicles instead, according to media reports Wednesday.
The company has reportedly sold more than 10 million of the gasoline-powered car since 1964.
The company will also temporarily halt production of the Cadillac XT4 in Kansas after January 2025, with plans to resume producing the car in late 2025.
General Motors ( GM ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
