11:38 AM EST, 11/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Geospace Technologies ( GEOS ) said Tuesday it appointed board member Stephen Jumper as chairman, effective immediately, succeeding Gary Owens.

Owens stepped down as chairman, but will remain a board member through the company's 2025 annual shareholder meeting, according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

Geospace ( GEOS ) shares were up 1.5% in recent trading.
