08:41 AM EDT, 10/31/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Getty Images ( GETY ) said Friday that it has signed a global multi-year licensing agreement with Perplexity to supply images for the AI startup's AI search and discovery tools.

Perplexity will use Getty Images' ( GETY ) API to gain access creative and editorial content, as well as improve the user experience on its platform, Getty Images ( GETY ) said.

Perplexity will also update image display to include credits and source links to support legal use and clearer attribution, Getty Images ( GETY ) said.

Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.

Shares of Getty Images ( GETY ) were up more than 50% in recent Friday premarket activity.
