11:05 AM EDT, 06/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- GFL Environmental ( GFL ) shareholder ADW Capital Management on Wednesday issued an open letter reiterating its call for GFL's board and management to undertake a strategic review process.

ADW Capital, which said it owns 1.65 million shares of GFL, said the company should "immediately engage" a financial advisor to pursue a sale of GFL's environmental solutions division or the entire company to maximize value for all shareholders.

GFL did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.

GFL shares were fractionally higher in recent Wednesday trading.
