08:39 AM EDT, 07/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Gilat Satellite Networks ( GILT ) said Tuesday it received a follow-on six-year order for over $10 million from Internet Para Todos to deliver mobile services across rural Peru.

Internet Para Todos is a partnership between Meta Platforms, Telefonica, IDB Invest, and the Latin America Development Bank to bring internet connectivity to rural areas.

Under the deal, Gilat will upgrade its 4G services over terrestrial networks across the 700 sites in six regions it already operates in and 100 new sites in the Peruvian jungle, providing access to more than 1 million people.
